FAQ

The short version of how this works. If your question isn’t here, write to shersashblog@gmail.com.

What is shersash?

Independent, evidence-based reporting that covers both the problems and the progress most news skips. The aim isn’t to pile on more bad news, but to show what’s wrong and what’s actually being done about it.

Why cover progress and good news too?

Because showing only what’s broken gives a distorted picture. Covering what works — a treatment that helps, a law that closes a real gap — is just as factual, and it’s the part most outlets skip. It belongs on the record too.

How often do you publish?

New dispatches go up regularly — roughly every couple of days. Quality and accuracy come before frequency, so the pace can flex around the work a story needs.

Is this news reporting or opinion?

It’s commentary and analysis in the public interest. We work from sources we believe are reliable and separate fact from interpretation. Where we’re offering a view, we say so.

How do you decide what to cover?

We look for things that are wrong, under-reported, and possible to explain clearly — where writing it down adds something to the public record rather than just adding noise.

Can I send a tip or a document?

Yes, and we’re glad when you do. Use the contact page. Share only what you’re comfortable sharing, and protect yourself when a story is sensitive.

I think you got something wrong. What now?

Tell us. Email shersashblog@gmail.com with the specific piece and what’s off. We review every good-faith correction and acknowledge material fixes.

Do you track your readers?

No advertising or marketing trackers. You don’t need an account to read anything. See the privacy page for the full picture.
